| Parents are Perry and Janice Crosswhite. Lists his nickname as "the Thunder from Down Under." Three sisters, one of whom (Anna) is a junior basketball player at Virginia and is a starter for the Cavaliers. Father competed in three Olympic Games for Australia (1972, 1976, 1980) and was team captain for the Montreal and Moscow games. Mother is a former Australian University hurdles champion (Melbourne University) and won a gold medal at the 1994 World Masters (40 and over) Championships for foul shooting.
Named the Junior (under 20) Player of the Year by Basketball Australia in July 2001. Named a reserve for the Australia 22-and-Under national team that finished eighth at the 2001 FIBA World Championship in Japan. A member of the Australian Junior National Team. Captained the New South Wales squad to the silver medal at the U-20 national championships in February, 2001. |
